About your hosts
Rose & Steve Allen have been providing studio accommodation in Whangamata for several years, achieving ‘Super Host’ status on AirBnB after having many happy guests enjoy the property.
Steve has recently retired after 40 plus years in the tourism industry, whilst Rose is semi retired from the medical profession.
Both are keen golfers, and love to swim, cycle and take long beach walks.
They are the perfect hosts for your stay providing you with privacy but also being happy to help provide information on everything there is to do around the local area.
About the area
Whangamata has lots to offer with a beautiful white sand surf beach, lovely quiet estuary and a harbour with lots of boating activity.
From the studio, you are only a short stroll to the main beach, shops and 9 hole golf course.
Whangamata – and the surrounding areas – also offers many cycle and walking tracks, surfboard, paddleboard and kayak hire, and two quality golf courses – not to forget several playgrounds, a community pool and a mini-golf course for the kids!
The town also offers a variety of shops including home décor, gifts, fashion and surfing attire, along with many cafe’s and restaurants with your choice of cuisine.
